Elemental Software (formally In Your Element) made it to final of the Ro’Ya Female Start Up Company Programme at the end of 2015 in Dubai.
Jennifer Neff and Leeann Monk, and their product Elemental, were selected from 100 companies to pitch their social prescription technology concept to a panel of esteemed Ro’Ya judges, an initiative delivered by Dubai Business Women Council and Mastercard.
Jennifer commented “Thanks to Ro’Ya we were able to validate the market here in the United Arab Emirates. It proved that there was a demand for healthcare professionals to connect patients with health risks to non medical interventions in the community using digital technology”
Ro’Ya is now it’s third year. It attracts women from across the UAE to a series of workshops designed to advise, educate and inform participants on their business growth journey.
Nadine Halabi, Manager of Business Development at Dubai Business Women Council, said ‘Ro’Ya is all about empowering and encouraging budding female entrepreneurs in the UAE. The stereotypes that once relegated women to the sidelines of business have been washed away, with increasing numbers of executive roles being filled by females, and more and more groups, workshops and programmes being developed to encourage women into entrepreneurship’.
‘We thank Dr Raja Al Gurg, Dubai Business Women Council and Mastercard for the Ro’Ya opportunity’ said Jennifer ‘And recommend it to anyone looking to either start or grow their start up business. The quality of the team delivering the programme is second to none and the mentors have first hand experience of business growth and development. You will meet like minded women and benefit from being in a supportive and motivational environment’.
