Jennifer Neff

Jennifer Neff

Co Founder & CEO

Jennifer has more than a two decades of experience in regeneration and social and economic development. She drives the sales, marketing and partnerships engine within Elemental and champions social prescribing on lots of different levels.

Jennifer is a thought leader on social prescribing, social innovation and Tech for Good. She is a Tedx speaker and was voted one of the Masarati Top 100 Entrepreneurs in 2018.  Jennifer also founded the Young Innovator programme in Dubai and supports young people to design and develop solution ideas around social innovation.

Leeann Monk Ozgul

Leeann Monk Ozgul

Co Founder & Chief Operations Officer

Leeann has a long established track record in the community and voluntary sector engaging, activating and supporting our most disadvantaged communities towards better health outcomes.  Reducing health inequalities is her passion.  Leeann helped establish and manage a Health Living Centre for 15 years in a in Derry City, N.Ireland.

Chief Communications Officer

Serena is an experienced tech-marketer who has been helping to grow companies in the tech industry for over 10 years. She is a self confessed growth-hacker who specialises in inbound marketing, digital marketing strategy, user experience, conversion optimisation and marketing and communication processes. Serena is a University of Ulster graduate who also lectures with the North West School of Marketing. As Chief Communications Officer, Serena is a guardian of the Elemental messaging, vision, mission and values, internally and externally.

Liam has over 8 years experience in the field of Admin and Finance, cutting his teeth firstly in the community and voluntary sector where he spent 4 years working in the heart of the community, after this he spent time in the corporate world with Xerox then Fujitsu.

Denise Dillon

Denise Dillon has over 16 years experience working within the community and voluntary sector. After graduating in 2001 with a Bsc Hons Business Information Systems she started working in community development, mental health, training and project management working with some of the most marginalised communities in Northern Ireland. Her career to date has seen her work with Old Library Trust Healthy Living Centre (Creggan, Derry), Cancer Research NI, Hands That Talk (Deaf Community) and AWARE.

Paul has over 6 years medical technology experience.  This has included a combination of training, implementation and service design. Paul has seen first hand the benefits social activities can have on a persons wellbeing and is passionate about helping communities.

Chris is an experienced health tech professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry, focused on the implementation of technology to improve access to healthcare for all, and leveraging patient centric solutions.

With notable success in implementation of large scale software projects across some of the UK’s largest NHS Trusts, Chris has a passion for change management and process improvement.

Marketing Executive

Áine is a University of Ulster graduate with a background in Multimedia, Computing, and Design.  With 10 years of balanced experience in computing, social media, digital marketing, and graphic design, Áine joined team Elemental in September 2020.  As a Marketing Executive, Áine has the responsibility of managing our website and social media channels, producing ongoing bespoke marketing material to create further awareness of the award-winning Elemental brand.  Áine is extremely passionate about marketing and graphic design and in her spare time she is continuously exploring her creativity through the latest technology and software packages.

Strategy & Partnerships Manager

After graduating with an MSc in Health, Nutrition, & Exercise in 2012, Helen started her career working in the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector. Helen’s first role saw her as a Community Wellbeing Officer (Link Worker) supporting some of the most vulnerable in our communities. Helen’s role developed to Operations Manager and her experience has seen the development and implementation of numerous social prescribing initiatives across Cheshire & Merseyside. Helen has worked closely with the NHS and Local Authority to realise the benefits of social prescribing for patients, communities, and the health and care system. Helen is passionate about social change and the role the VCSE sector plays in driving forward social prescribing.

Partnerships Manager - North of England & Scotland

Debra has worked in and around the NHS for 28 years.  She had a variety of roles in the NHS including 3yrs in General Practice as a Fundholding Assistant and Assistant Practice Manager before spending 20 years at EMIS Health supporting Practices, Community, Children’s and Mental Health Services, CCGs, PCNs, and large Trusts implement and get the most from their clinical system.  She came to work at Elemental as she wanted to use her passion for making a difference and help connect people with services.

Cahir is an Ulster University graduate with a degree in Business & Accounting. When graduating, Cahir joined a Saas organisation that helped organisations train their staff to be vigilant in cyber security threats.  Cahir worked in cyber security for four years before joining Elemental.

At Elemental, Cahir is our Partnership Executive, supporting our wider sales team in delivering our products and services across the UK.  Whilst supporting the wider sales team, Cahir has the responsibility of connecting with our partnerships in Ireland.

Sonia graduated in Business Information systems starting her career in Quality Systems Management for a Global Aerospace company. The past 17 years, she has managed various systems development and implementation projects.

Sonia has first hand experience working in the community as a Link Worker, therefore, understands the positive impact social prescribing can have on improving peoples health and wellbeing.

Charlotte is Elemental’s Project Manager for Greater Manchester.  Charlotte has 3 years of experience working within the social prescribing industry and has been using the Elemental platform for the past 2 years. Charlotte has a background is nursing, and physical activity for individuals with long-term conditions with a passion for improving lives within the communities.

Emma works as Account Manager and Trainer for the implementation of the Elemental platform across Greater Manchester. She is based at The Bureau in Glossop and has been working on social prescribing projects since March 2019, supporting the link worker peer networks in both Greater Manchester and the West Midlands, and working with volunteer projects delivering support in the Glossopdale community.

Emma has a background working in music and has a particular interest in the benefits of singing and community choirs in improving health and wellbeing.

Conor is a honours graduate in Computer Games Development from Ulster University. He has over 6 years of experience working in customer service within the retail and tech industry. Conor has been a volunteer within his own community for a number of years at older people services, seeing first hand the benefits of how social activities can improve overall well-being.

Amy has a great passion for customer support, with over 5 years experience working in customer service and technical support within the retail and tech industry, and most recently within the local authority setting. Amy has volunteered with different charities around the UK and has worked closely with disadvantaged children & families.

Rory Kehoe

Rory is an honours graduate in Sports Coaching from Northumbria University. Having previously been a member of our Partnership Team, Rory has recently transitioned into our Technical Customer Support & Training Team. Rory has a plethora of experience working with community groups and organisations in the VCSE sector. Rory is an avid football fan who also coaches junior Derry City FC boy and girls teams in his spare time.

Senior Developer

Ken has been working in the IT industry for more than 30 years across 27 countries and is a native speaker of Japanese, German, and partially English.  Ken is an expert in developing web applications in Java, HTML, SASS, and CSS on the server-side, Swift/Objective C for macOS and iOS client side.

Ken is the founder of the TreasureBoat Framework that is used worldwide in many companies, which is also the base Framework of our Elemental Application.

Mark Gowdy

Principal Developer

Mark has over 20 years of experience creating scalable, database-centric web applications for both public and private sector clients. Has worked extensively in the field of both Digital Asset Management and health improvement solutions. Mark was a co-founder of Aetopia, a successful digital asset management company, which he successfully exited in 2015. He specialises in full stack development, with core skills include Java, Python, Content and Asset Management, Elasticsearch, WebObjects (Wonder), AWS and Linux.

Dean is a Public Relations Graduate who wanted to change his career and completed a Higher Diploma in Science in Computing. He then went on to work as a Software Developer for the Air Transport industry before joining Elemental. Dean is very passionate about Software Development and loves programming and writing code (even in his spare time for fun). Dean’s specialty is Java and he is a Java Foundations Certified Junior Associate. He also has a lot of experience in Agile Development and DevOps. Particularly CI/CD where he has experience in creating a number of pipelines for various projects on Jenkins. He is not afraid of a challenge and loves learning. He has previous experience working as a Technical Support Analyst and Claims Analyst for American Insurance Companies.

Thomas is an economics graduate, with a Masters in professional software development. He has a number of years experience in customer-facing and administrative roles, as well as six years as a senior quality assurance auditor for a global health insurance provider. More recently, he has worked as a consultant implementing cloud-based HR software.

Dan Ferguson

Dan has 18 years experience working on a diverse range of applications including transit systems, medical record keeping, financials, election management and sporting analytics for multinationals to startup companies. For the last 10 years, Dan has been involved with development projects in Central America and in particular teaching programming to IT graduates and developing data collection systems for human rights projects. His core skills include building Restful APIs and single-page applications with deployment to the cloud using AWS and Linux.

Adebisi is a graduate of Greenwich University –  Management Information Technology, his main objective is to ensure delivery of a bug-free and high-quality applications.

Adebisi is an ISTQB/ISEB certified Test professional with over eight years of test experience across various sectors.  He applies a hands-on approach to test management. Adebisi is a passionate and dedicated QA Test Engineer with experience in testing web, mobile, and desktop applications and is well versed with software development methodologies such as Agile  (Agile Scrum and Kanban), Waterfall and V-Model, QA processes and procedures.

Patrick is one of Northern Ireland’s most respected IT professionals and business leaders. He co-founded Novosco and as managing director led it from a micro business to one of the leading IT infrastructure and managed services operators in the UK and Ireland with more than 300 employees and annual revenues of almost £60m.

Under Patrick’s leadership, Novosco won a £107m contract with Cambridge University Hospitals Trust and was then acquired by German PLC CANCOM in October 2019.

Patrick was named Northern Ireland IT professional of the year at the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards last year and the company was twice named Northern Ireland Company of the Year under his leadership.

Oliver is an experienced technology founder, CEO & Chairman with a proven track record in significant value creation. He has over 25 years’ experience in the technology and software sectors having founded several companies, including SpeechStorm, which achieved global growth acquiring customers across five continents and securing a successful exit to a leading Silicon Valley tech company. Oliver has held several senior executive level roles in large organisations including Kainos Plc and Genesys Inc and brings significant experience to Elemental in company start-up, venture capital funding, enterprise sales, product and project management. Oliver is currently CEO of Syndeo, his latest stat-up venture.

Ryan Williams

Ryan Williams

Ryan was one of the youngest Non-Executive Directors ever appointed in the UK to the Clinical Commissioning Group the Western Health and Social Services Board for a seven year term. Ryan is the CEO and Founder of Connected Talent Ltd with offices in the UK and Ireland specialising in RPO and niche recruitment solutions. Ryan is Managing Director of Ally Consulting, a management consultancy business advising and investing in a range of startup high tech businesses as well as existing profitable enterprises. Ryan is also an Executive Director with Connected Health Ltd providing a range of domiciliary, telemedicine and telecare solutions. Ryan was the former elected Community Health Representative on the NI Civic Forum and led the development and establishment of the first Health Living Centre Project (the ARC) in Fermanagh N.Ireland.

Aidan is an experienced business executive with over 30 years’ experience in the technology sector. He is an active trainer, consultant and start-up mentor. He has a wealth of commercial experience, with particular strengths in business development, strategy and entrepreneurship. He is a trainer at the the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute at Queen’s University where he delivers the Sales Leadership Programme.  He has founded and successful exited two companies: Beckinridge and Aetopia. He is also a director of Cahoots NI, a theatre company that produces inspirational educational theatre for children.

Mary McKenna

Mary is a well known Northern Irish serial tech entrepreneur and angel investor.  She co-founded Derry based Learning Pool in 2006 following a long public sector career and a spell as a Silicon Valley dotcommer and successfully exited in 2014 in order to work with earlier stage startups.  Mary is one of Said Business School’s (University of Oxford) Entrepreneurship Experts at the Entrepreneurship Centre, a Tech London Advocate, a member of the Taoiseach’s Global Irish Network and a popular speaker and writer on a variety of technology topics.  She is supporting Elemental specifically with driving sales and building a strong company profile and reputation.

Martin heads up his own consultancy, specialising in healthcare, healthcare IT and strategic business advice and support. With 33 years in a variety of sectors (defence, retail, software, construction) including 15 in healthcare, Martin has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Beverley Taylor worked in the public sector for 22 years, held senior roles in various government departments including Court Service, Home Office, Foreign Office, Regional Government office, culminating at West Yorkshire Police as Head of Performance and Commissioning for Integrated Offender Management. In 2013 she joined NAVCA as Head of Strategic Engagement and strategic health lead. Bev led on NAVCA’s work on systems resilience & winter pressures and the associated single point of contact model (SPOC). Her new role is as a consultant associate of National Voices

Debs has experienced and overcome mental health challenges and uses her experiences to help others.  Amongst her many achievements, she has spoken at government level at the all-party parliamentary group for arts, health and wellbeing, and at the King’s Fund Social Prescribing Conference. She has also been shortlisted in the Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards.

Ken is the Director of Do-Well (UK) Ltd, a personal, leadership and organisational success business which works across all sectors to enable enhanced resilience, build social movements, develop leadership and partnership capacity to help people, places and organisations define and then mobilise to achieve. Ken has over 30 years’ experience in housing, health, commercial enterprise, neighbourhood investment, charities and social enterprise. Prior to establishing Do-Well in 2014, he was Chief Executive of a large North West England based housing association group, a post he held for over 14 years.  

Kieran Lynch

Prison Project Advisor
Kieran joined the Inner London Probations Service in 1993 and specalised in working with prisoners on life sentences and also on developing Drug Rehabilitation programmes.
In 2001 he joined the Home Office Drugs Prevention Advisory Service, in 2003 he took up the role of Programme Manager for alcohol, drugs and tobacco with the National Treatment Agency and has continued this role In Public Health England.
Kieran is an experienced criminal justice expert, specialising in interpreting policy and developing research into practice, and is currently conducting research on how decision making and behavioral attitudes at both an individual and organisational level can impact on systems and structures.
