Award-winning Tech For Good company, Elemental Software is to share expertise with the healthcare industry on developing a preventative approach to long term health conditions in the Middle East
Jennifer Neff, Co-Founder of Elemental Software has been announced as a speaker at Arab Health’s Business Forum, on Northern Ireland Day at Arab Health. Arab Health is the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the MENA region. The 2018 edition of the event is expected to welcome more than 4,200 exhibiting companies and 103,000 attendees from over 150 countries.
With more than a decade of experience in empowering people towards better health and wellness, Jennifer co-founded Elemental Software with fellow social innovator, Leeann Monk-Ozgul in 2013.
Their work has been centred around the prevention of long term conditions by supporting individuals most at risk to make lifestyle changes which empower them to exercise more and lead healthier and happier lives. Elemental supports governments, NHS Foundation Trusts, Clinical Commissioning groups, community/voluntary organisations and others in promoting and activating people powered health. Last year, Jennifer worked in partnership with Dubai Health Authority in the development and launch of the Happiness Prescribing programme in Dubai which was designed to reduce the diabetic risk of pre diabetic patients.
Jennifer will share best practice on how other regions are using the social prescribing model of care, which involves connecting, referring and supporting people in accessing non medical sources of support in their own communities such as physical activity programmes, healthy cooking and mindfulness classes which reduce health risks.
