Elemental announced as finalist for Mayor of London's Civic Innovation Challenge
We are extremely excited to announce that Elemental has been named as a finalist for the first ever Civic Innovation Challenge, the Mayor of London’s new initiative that matches tech startups and SMEs with leading companies and public bodies to create innovative solutions to some of London’s most pressing problems.
We were chosen alongside 13 other startups and SMEs who have been earmarked to tackle some of London’s most pressing issues, from climate change to inequality to the health challenges associated with an ageing population.
As part of the programme, we will receive targeted business support from Bethnal Green Ventures during September and compete to win £15,000 to further develop our ideas by running a pilot targeted at improving physical activity with Ealing Council later this year.
Lending past experience and success to our proposal
“It’s fantastic to be part of such an exciting challenge alongside a stellar list of startups. Physical inactivity is one of the core problems we set out to tackle through our digital platform and social prescribing. It is an issue we have a great deal of experience in and as former community development workers, we know the effects it has on an individual and a community as a whole. We’re excited about bringing our past experiences and successes to our proposal for this project. Clare Cooper, Project Manager, Elemental Software
