The Founders

Leading the way for people-led change and whole system working. 

Jennifer is driven by a passion for ending health inequalities. She set up Elemental Software with Leeann Monk, to establish, scale, and measure the impact of social prescribing, connecting people, building communities, and improving lives. Jennifer works every day on that mission, to spread the word about the social prescribing movement.

Leeann is a digital health and social innovation entrepreneur with over 14 years experience in community development & health, engaging the hardly reached across areas of disadvantage. Leeann has designed and project managed numerous award winning community programmes which have reduced health inequalities and increased awareness of the impact of Chronic Conditions across the UK and Ireland.

Partnerships Team

Sharing the learning, connecting customers, forming partnerships, informing policy and practice and championing social prescribing across sectors and communities
Helen has worked closely with the NHS and Local Authorities to realise the benefits of social prescribing for patients, communities, and the health and care system. Helen is passionate about social change and the role the VCSE sector plays in driving forward social prescribing.

Head of Sales & Marketing

Debra has worked in and around the NHS for 28 years. She had a variety of roles in the NHS including 3yrs in General Practice as a Fundholding Assistant and Assistant Practice Manager before spending 20 years at EMIS Health supporting Practices, Community, Children’s and Mental Health Services, CCGs, PCNs, and large Trusts implement and get the most from their clinical system.

Partnerships Manager - North of England & Scotland

Caroline has 15 years of experience in the education technology industry, with a focus on improving outcomes for students who have additional support needs. She is passionate about using technology to have a positive impact on people's lives.

Partnerships Manager - South of England and N. Ireland

Victoria has worked in the voluntary sector for five years, latterly in a social prescribing-focussed role. Client care is passion-driven by a strong desire for fairness and equality.

Victoria Owens

Relationship Manager

Drea has a wealth of experience in administration roles across various organisations. She is passionate about community development and project administration and is developing her knowledge of both at Elemental.

Erin is a Queen's University Belfast graduate with a BSc and MSc in Environmental Planning. Erin started her career working with a local STEM service provider. She spent 6 years facilitating workshops in schools and community events across N. Ireland to encourage children and young people to pursue STEM subjects. Erin joined the Elemental team in April 2021 to support the sales team.

Gayle has worked in sales and customer service for over 8 years. SheI has also worked with the Western Trust as an assistant buyer in their customer helpline. Gayle also has experience working in young mothers support with the Women Centre and has a passion for making the lives of others in her community happier and healthier and believes this can be delivered through social prescribing.

Rory is an honours graduate in Sports Coaching from Northumbria University. Having previously been a member of our Partnership Team, Rory has recently transitioned into our Technical Customer Support & Training Team. Rory has a plethora of experience working with community groups and organisations in the VCSE sector. Rory is an avid football fan who also coaches junior Derry City FC boy and girls

Amy has a great passion for customer support, with over 5 years experience working in customer service and technical support within the retail and tech industry, and most recently within the local authority setting. Amy has volunteered with different charities around the UK and has worked closely with disadvantaged children & families.

Holly is a BA International Relations and Development Studies graduate from SOAS. She has over 7 years experience in customer-facing roles in the hospitality and retail industry. Holly volunteers with the Donegal Asylum Seekers Support group and is passionate about social activism, diversity and inclusion. Holly joined Elemental as she wanted to use her passion to make a difference.

Conor is a honours graduate in Computer Games Development from Ulster University. He has over 6 years of experience working in customer service within the retail and tech industry. Conor has been a volunteer within his own community for a number of years at older people services, seeing first hand the benefits of how social activities can improve overall well-being.

Bronagh has a passion to help others and has over 15 years of experience working in Customer Service. She has worked with and helped people from all different walks of life. Bronagh has also trained in community health checks and was involved in many large-scale workplace and community-based MOT health check events.

Michael returned to education as a mature learner to complete an access diploma in combined studies at NWRC then successfully progressed onto the level 4 certificate in counselling validated by UU. Michael has over 30 years experience as a martial arts instructor and is co-owner of Mickey Finn's Karate/kickboxing Academy. Michael is a 7th Dan black belt and was a world Bronze medallist.

Denise Dillon has over 16 years of experience working within the community and voluntary sector. After graduating in 2001 with a Bsc Hons Business Information Systems she started working in community development, mental health, training and project management working with some of the most marginalised communities in N. Ireland.

Thomas is an economics graduate, with a Masters in professional software development. He has a number of years experience in customer-facing and administrative roles, as well as six years as a senior quality assurance auditor for a global health insurance provider. More recently, he has worked as a consultant implementing cloud-based HR software.

Daynah has a strong passion for the tech industry and has previous experience as a Technical Advisor. Over the years, Daynah has worked within the heart of the community volunteering with children. Whilst volunteering, Daynah has been able to experience the impact that community programmes make to people’s health and wellbeing.

Shriraj is a graduate in MSc Business with International Management from Northumbria University. He has 2 years of experience in data management, processing and integration. Shriraj joined as a KTP associates partnership between the University of Salford and Elemental. He will be working as a Business Analyst playing a major role in Elemental Analytics.

Jordan is a recent Foundation IT graduate of NWRC, having also completed his Level-3 in Computing. He first joined Elemental as part of his work placement and is now responsible for helping both the Product and Development teams with their workload and keeping key documentation updated. He is passionate about customer service and strives to further his expertise in the field.

Dean is a Public Relations Graduate who wanted to change his career and completed a Higher Diploma in Science in Computing. He then went on to work as a Software Developer for the Air Transport industry before joining Elemental. Dean is very passionate about Software Development and loves programming and writing code (even in his spare time for fun). Dean’s specialty is Java.

Mark has over 20 years of experience creating scalable, database-centric web applications for both public and private sector clients. Has worked extensively in the field of both Digital Asset Management and health improvement solutions. Mark was a co-founder of Aetopia, a successful digital asset management company, which he successfully exited in 2015. He specialises in full-stack development.

Seasoned business professional and senior software engineer who has founded businesses in healthcare service delivery, financial services systems development, consulting, implementation and management. Doc has performed numerous consulting assignments involving data gathering, data analysis and reporting for healthcare facilities, insurance companies, General Motors and Deloitte Consulting.

Paul has 20 years of experience working in industries such as healthcare, telecoms, semiconductors and publishing. His main area of expertise is in systems integrations, refactoring and consultancy; helping organisations create testable, concise platforms using tools such as Java, Kotlin, React and the ELK stack.

Adebis is a graduate of Greenwich University in Management Information Technology, his main objective is to ensure the delivery of bug-free and high-quality applications. Adebisi is an ISTQB/ISEB certified Test professional with over eight years of test experience across various sectors. He applies a hands-on approach to test management and is a passionate and dedicated QA Test Engineer.

Dan has 18 years experience working on a diverse range of applications including transit systems, medical record keeping, financials, election management and sporting analytics for multinationals to startup companies. For the last 10 years, Dan has been involved with development projects in Central America and in particular teaching programming to IT graduates.

Senior Developer

Ken has been working in the IT industry for more than 30 years across 27 countries and is a native speaker of Japanese, German, and partially English. Ken is an expert in developing web applications in Java, HTML, SASS, and CSS on the server-side, Swift/Objective C for macOS and iOS client side. Ken is the founder of the TreasureBoat Framework that is used worldwide in many companies.

Ruairi is a Marketing BSc graduate from Newcastle University. He has over 5 years of experience in marketing, working in both B2B and B2C organisations and in industries such as sport, gaming and technology.

Áine is a University of Ulster graduate with a background in Multimedia, Computing, and Design. With 10 years of balanced experience in computing, social media, digital marketing, and graphic design, Áine joined team Elemental in September 2020. As a Marketing Executive, Áine has the responsibility of managing our website and social media channels, producing ongoing bespoke marketing material.

Liam has over 8 years experience in the field of Admin and Finance, cutting his teeth firstly in the community and voluntary sector where he spent 4 years working in the heart of the community, after this he spent time in the corporate world with Xerox then Fujitsu.

Ella has over 20 years experience within the community & voluntary sector working in many different fields such as childcare, community development, project management and project administration. Ella’s administration career includes working with Dove House, Old Library Trust and Surestart Edenballymore.

Jamie has a background in sales within face-paced environments and over 2 years of experience in customer service. He qualified from NWRC with qualifications in Sports Science. Jamie continually strives to learn new things.

Jennifer and Leeann

Someone’s health and wellbeing can be affected by where they live, what they do for a living, their income or their early childhood background experiences. This in turn leads to some stark, and often avoidable health differences.

We founded Elemental to play an active part in halting health inequalities through the social prescribing movement. Our technology helps communities to be better connected, build resilience and bring real precision to the measurement of the impact of community investment.

We work with organisations that want to continue to invest in their communities but want to be much better at measuring impact and outcomes.

We believe this is a powerful route out of health inequality.
