Ingeus partner with Elemental to offer revolutionary social prescribing service to local job seekers in Greater Manchester

Ingeus is the first UK employment support provider to offer a social prescribing service to local job seekers in Greater Manchester through Elemental’s digital social prescribing platform.

Working Well (Work and Health Programme) provides tailored support to individuals with disabilities and health conditions who are seeking work. The programme is commissioned by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and receives support from the European Social Fund.

Jayne Garner, Head of Delivery in Greater Manchester, is promoting how Ingeus is harnessing the power of social prescribing and digital by partnering with Elemental.  Elemental’s digital platform will be used to connect job seekers to community resources and has been commissioned by GMCA and the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

Jayne said “Ingeus is proud to be the first in its field to join with Elemental. Their digital social prescribing platform brings together a range of agencies and charities in Greater Manchester providing a better integration of services for people in their local neighbourhoods. Now our ability is further enhanced to provide a more personalised and holistic service.

“We are calling on service providers in the community to join us. Using the digital platform, our teams will be able to book participants directly into relevant appointments and interventions with partner organisations that will produce actual referrals for an activity and encourage attendance by job seekers. Some of our more vulnerable clients would be more likely to attend when they know that someone is waiting to welcome them.”

We are delighted to be working with Ingeus to maximise the impact of their Working Well Programme across Greater Manchester using Elemental’s social prescribing software. Through the implementation of our platform, we will enhance the delivery of the Working Well Programme to ensure that there is a joined-up approach for individuals to get the support they need and that stakeholders have the evidence required to sustain the programme.”

“Since 2018, we’ve been working with Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust, Salford CVS and Stockport Viaduct Care who are already benefiting from embedding Elemental’s digital platform into their programmes. Earlier this year, Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership selected Elemental as their main digital social prescribing partner so we are already familiar with the importance of delivery and measurement of person and community centred support across the region.”

“Our platform will also enhance the relationship between health and care services, and the communities and citizens Ingeus serve, so we are really excited about the impacts to come.” Leeann Monk-Ozgul, Elemental Co-Founder/CEO

Jennifer and Leeann

Someone’s health and wellbeing can be affected by where they live, what they do for a living, their income or their early childhood background experiences. This in turn leads to some stark, and often avoidable health differences.

We founded Elemental to play an active part in halting health inequalities through the social prescribing movement. Our technology helps communities to be better connected, build resilience and bring real precision to the measurement of the impact of community investment.

We work with organisations that want to continue to invest in their communities but want to be much better at measuring impact and outcomes.

We believe this is a powerful route out of health inequality.
