Run by Healthbox CIC, The Wellbeing High Street aims to create healthier and more active people and communities as well as improving the project participant’s life skills to provide them with better chances in life.
Using Elemental’s Core platform, Healthbox CIC is now actively making and receiving referrals to its Wellbeing High Street project which includes activities such as relaxation classes, seated exercises and coffee mornings.
As a result of embedding a simple referral pathway, Healthbox CIC have experienced a surge in instant referrals to their non-clinical programmes and services, resulting in reduced administrative pressures on team members.
With a demand for mental health services in the area, Healthbox CIC have been using Elemental to connect individuals into non-medical sources of support which improve their health and wellbeing and initiate a more proactive approach to mental health promotion.
Healthbox CIC is also able to demonstrate the difference of these services are making to a participant’s health improvement journey, and provide the evidence it needs to measure and report back to their funding bodies, a key challenge for Community Interest Companies.
Using the reporting feature within Elemental Core, Healthbox CIC can access, report and showcase detailed data analytics at any time, helping them to
Despite these organisations delivering significant value to their local communities, a report by Lloyds Bank Foundation suggests many struggle to measure and demonstrate their impact to funders, making it difficult to audit their work and assess its value and impact.
Not only do Healthbox CIC now have the reports and statistics to support the impact they are making within communities, but they are also receiving personal user stories regarding the positive impact of their social prescribing programmes.
Working with a Wellbeing High Street Team Member, a regular participant to relaxation sessions has experienced an increase in range of motion by 25% since taking part in the mindfulness and yoga classes.
The Wellbeing High Street also embeds volunteering within the project, which enables volunteers to gain confidence, make a difference, learn new skills and engage in the community.
Harry, a Wellbeing High Street volunteer said “I’m really ecstatic to get involved and make a difference to people’s lives by having a chat with people and opening them up to what I do as a youth worker. It’s completely fulfilled me and hopefully, I’ll be able to go on and do more stuff like this with the experience and knowledge that I got and gain a career in the community”.
