Celebrating Brian O’Connor, Recipient of the Belfast Homecoming Ambassador Medal

WE’D LIKE TO EXTEND OUR WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS TO CONNECTED HEALTH CHAIRMAN, BRIAN O’CONNOR, ON RECEIVING HIS BELFAST HOMECOMING AMBASSADOR MEDAL.

CELEBRATING HOMEGROWN TALENT

2018 is the inaugural year of The Belfast Homecoming Ambassador Medals to recognise 50 outstanding individuals who are helping to build Belfast.

The 50 are members who have gone the extra mile for Belfast and local heroes who are building international bridges to the diaspora.

Brian was awarded his medal at the Belfast International Homecoming 2018 ceremony in the Europa Hotel, November 30.

BACKING ELEMENTAL SINCE THE EARLY DAYS

Brian was a very early supporter of ours with great belief in Elemental and social prescribing. Right back to our early beginnings in 2013 when we were starting up with just an idea, a plan and drive to put digital and social prescribing at the forefront, Brian was there, ready to help guide us on our way.

He introduced us to key people across the UK and Ireland and generously gave us his time and expertise when we needed it.

Through The European Connected Health Alliance we were able to showcase Elemental on an international stage at the World Mobile Conference in Barcelona 2016.

To this day Brian and his team are avid supporters of Elemental and continue to introduce us to key people not just in the UK and Ireland but further afield across Canada, Spain and Finland.

Brian O'Connor

‘Brian and the alliance have been instrumental in the growth of Elemental, helping us progress quickly from idea stage to market ready product stage. Believing in us and giving us the confidence to move ahead with our plans for social prescribing and digital, we are delighted to see Brian being recognised for all the amazing work he does and receiving his Belfast Homecoming Ambassador Medal.’ Leeann Monk Ozgul, Co-Founder and Co CEO, Elemental Software

Jennifer and Leeann

Someone’s health and wellbeing can be affected by where they live, what they do for a living, their income or their early childhood background experiences. This in turn leads to some stark, and often avoidable health differences.

We founded Elemental to play an active part in halting health inequalities through the social prescribing movement. Our technology helps communities to be better connected, build resilience and bring real precision to the measurement of the impact of community investment.

We work with organisations that want to continue to invest in their communities but want to be much better at measuring impact and outcomes.

We believe this is a powerful route out of health inequality.
